NOTE:

QUALIFICATIONS:

As a minimum, hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with passenger, air brakes, and school bus endorsements
Good driving record
Provides a Criminal Background Check with results that adhere to the Evans County Board of Education Policy GAK(1)

Participates in a pre-employment drug screening as described in the Evans County Board of Education Policy GAMA

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass annual physical examination and random drug/alcohol testing

JOB RESPONSIBILITES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

Transport students in a safe, efficent, and timely manner

Ability to establish and maintain good discipline and control on bus

Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with system staff, parents, and community

Follows and enforces system bus rules and safety procedures

Follows schedule as requested by the Transportation Coordinator

Keeps bus clean according to maintenance procedures

Maintains an accurate record of students being transported

Refrains from leaving bus unattended any time students are on board

Participates in training sessions

Regular attendance and on time to work

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Heavy Work:  Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects or individuals.  In an emergency, worker may be required to restrain a physically active individual as a temporary safety precaution.
